Special pear shape cut with different proportions

Among the custom-made projects we were commissioned to do the other day, we came across an interesting one that we would like to introduce to you.

The loose moissanite stones we use are generally sized to meet certain standards. Many people know that cutting is important for both diamonds and moissanite.

It is no exaggeration to say that cutting is a competition to make the loose stone look beautiful. For example, diamonds can be cut by taking advantage of the characteristics of the diamond and carefully calculating the symmetry, angle, depth from the top surface to the bottom point, etc., to bring out the beautiful brilliance that only diamonds can have.

Moissanite has different properties from diamonds, so from the planning stage (scanning the diamond rough and using a computer to calculate the shape, size, and proportions to determine how to cut it), we calculate the best cutting style for moissanite and how to bring out its brilliance in the most beautiful way. We adjust not only the size but also the height and width of the stone, the cut angle and number of facets, and other specifications before processing it into a loose stone.

I've digressed a little, but the main stone of the ring you ordered the other day was a pear shape, but the customer requested that it be made slightly longer in length, with a ratio of 1:1.7, so the main stone is a slight drop type.
The tapered side stones (trapezoidal) are actually slightly longer than normal, a shape that is often seen in diamonds.

It's a classic style, and the vertical drop-shaped pear cut is a very beautiful finish.
I found out later during a meeting with the cutting factory that the lower part of the stone (below the girdle) had been slightly increased in cut surface area, so although it is a brilliant cut, it has been modified.

We say that it is possible to order the main stone by adjusting its dimensions to your liking, but this does not mean that we simply cut it to the specified dimensions or mindlessly recut what we have in stock; rather, we carefully finish each stone so that the customer who places the order is pleased.
